前言 | Preface

從偶發(fā)到常態(tài),是避無(wú)可避到習(xí)慣。當(dāng)新冠疫情成為從2020年到2021年的常態(tài),這個(gè)二十一世紀(jì)最冷的冬天似乎更加難捱。

這次展覽其實(shí)從去年就已經(jīng)開(kāi)始籌備,因?yàn)橐咔橐煌显偻?,在臨近開(kāi)展前又趕上了新一波的疫情。河北石家莊是我和雕塑家黃鐵舟的家鄉(xiāng),一批作品也被困在家鄉(xiāng),增加了展覽的不確定性。常態(tài)又促成了偶然,藝術(shù)的魅力或許也在于此,在措不及防的偶發(fā)中生發(fā)出無(wú)限的創(chuàng)造力。

黃鐵舟原定準(zhǔn)備展出的一組人物,延續(xù)著一貫以人的形象為主體的系列?!妒澜纭分心切┊惢说娜说男螒B(tài),沒(méi)有性別,身體與面孔趨于一致,圓瞪得眼睛如力士般不怒自威,大張的嘴仿佛在無(wú)聲的嘶吼,過(guò)分纖細(xì)的腰肢與四肢,被拉長(zhǎng)后充滿(mǎn)物體感的完美身軀,夸張的肢體動(dòng)作,聚集在一起形成了人所構(gòu)成的場(chǎng)域。所有的異化特征都在昭示著藝術(shù)家對(duì)于人特質(zhì)的特意去除,和另一種意義上的統(tǒng)一和同化。在《世界》中,是人的身份去除后,他者的凝視消失后,雕塑家對(duì)于人本身的存在,關(guān)于自我意識(shí)的剖析。

另一位雕塑家郭煜將創(chuàng)作重心放在了“物”的理解上。在他的“框”系列金屬浮雕作品中,基于以往創(chuàng)作雕塑作品草圖中的形體,將偶發(fā)的“形”以金屬材質(zhì)碳鋼涂漆的方式固化下來(lái),作為一個(gè)個(gè)鏤空的幾何形體以鮮明的色彩在空間中組合重疊。郭煜的另一組作品以推敲形體為樂(lè),在日常積累的形體感受上,將物體經(jīng)過(guò)不同方式的旋轉(zhuǎn)而最終成為創(chuàng)作中的形態(tài)。物的使用價(jià)值被消除了,從而放大了物體本身的特征,通過(guò)對(duì)于形體的把握占據(jù)限定的空間,從而表達(dá)出對(duì)于“力”與“秩序”的思考。

“人與物”的關(guān)系在遠(yuǎn)古時(shí)代人類(lèi)的祖先開(kāi)始制作和使用打制石器時(shí),就已經(jīng)開(kāi)始出現(xiàn)。而在大數(shù)據(jù)時(shí)代,人和物的界限卻越來(lái)越模糊。人在算法下被解構(gòu)為一個(gè)個(gè)數(shù)據(jù)流;而AI時(shí)代的到來(lái),使得人工智能變得越來(lái)越趨向于人。人逐漸物化,物逐漸擬人化。

展覽中選擇了兩位雕塑家,他們以人之手創(chuàng)造物,把人的思考具現(xiàn)在物體中。

人言物,物喻人。在人與物不斷變化的關(guān)系中,藝術(shù)作品成為了最佳的詮釋。

When the occasional became normal, the inevitable became our habit, here you see what the covid-19 epidemic did to us from 2019 till 2021. Now we have the most freezing winter in twenty-first Century.

In fact, the preparations for this exhibition have been started since last year. Because of the epidemic situation, the exhibition has been delayed several times and caught up with a new wave of epidemic situation just as we decided our opening ceremony date. Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province is the hometown of sculptor Huang Tiezhou and I. A number of works are also trapped in our hometown, which increases the uncertainty of the exhibition. The charm of art may also lie in this, which produces infinite creativity in the unexpected.

Originally, Huang Tiezhou planned to exhibit a group of characters, which continues his series of human image. The alienated human form in the World (2020) has no gender, the body and face tend to be the same, the eyes are like the warriors’, the mouth seems to roar silently, the waist and limbs are slender, the elongated body full of sense of object seems perfect, and the body movements is exaggerated, all of these elements gather together to form a human field domain. All the features of alienation show the artist's intentional removal of human characteristics. This represent the unity and assimilation in some sense. World represent the sculptor's analysis of human existence and self-consciousness after the removal of human identity and the disappearance of the gaze of the other.

Guo Yu, another sculptor, focuses on the understanding of "object". In his metal relief works, Frame (2020) series, based on the previous sketches, the occasional "shape" is solidified in the way of metal carbon steel, as a hollowed out geometric shape, combined and overlapped in the space with bright colors. Another group of Guo Yu's works relates to his intrerst in examining the shape of objects. In the daily accumulation of his feelings, the object is rotated in different ways and finally becomes the form in his creation. The use value of the object is eliminated, which enlarges the characteristics of the object itself. Through the grasp of the form, it occupies the limited space, thus expressing the thinking of "force" and "order".

The relationship between man and object began to appear in ancient times when our ancestors began to make and use stone tools. In the age of Big Data, the boundaries between people and things are becoming more and more blurred. People are deconstructed as data streams under the algorithm, and the arrival of AI era makes artificial intelligence looks more and more like human being. Gradually, humans are materialized and things imitate people. There are two sculptors in this exhibition. Focusing the theme of human or object, they created objects with human hands and injected human thinking into the objects.

Human becomes object and object becomes human. In the changing relationship between human and object, art works are the best interpretation.

Edcational background   

In 2008, he graduated from Ecole Nationale Superieure d 'Art de Bourges in France with a Master's Degree in National Advanced Plastic Arts (DNSEP).He studied Western contemporary art with Nicolas Herubel and Didier Mencoboni, focusing on Fragelite (fragility, instability) as his inspire.

In 2004, he graduated from the Sculpture Department of Xi 'an Academy of Fine Arts with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He studied Western Sculpture Modeling Method under Mou Yundao and Chinese Sculpture Language under Chen Yungang, and participated in the urban sculpture design presided by his father.
