　　前言
　　FOREWORD:
　　YU PENG’S WORLD OF ROCK PAINTINGS

　　巖彩畫，是一種古老而全新的繪畫藝術(shù)，它以天然礦物石色和高溫結(jié)晶顏料為材料，以傳統(tǒng)動物膠為媒介，其豐富斑斕的色彩、鮮艷晶瑩的色澤、獨(dú)特的畫面質(zhì)感和肌理感給人以強(qiáng)烈的視覺沖擊。它起源于中國古代繪畫，有著千年的歷史，是在中國寫意水墨興起之前的中國主流繪畫。從新石器時代原始的摩崖壁畫到后來的帛畫、宮廷壁畫、墓室壁畫以及石窟壁畫等等都可以看到巖彩的表現(xiàn)?？墒堑搅私?，國人似乎忘記了它，而巖彩畫在進(jìn)入日本后，在漫長的歲月中經(jīng)歷了容納、吸收、融和、創(chuàng)新的過程，已逐漸發(fā)展成為日本的國畫和主流。

　　Rock painting is an old yet brand new art. With natural mineral color and high-temperature crystal pigment as material and animal glue as media, it bursts visually with rich colors, transparent tone, unique texture and luster. Originating from ancient Chinese paintings, colored rock painting, boasting a history of a thousand years, once was a dominating category in China before the rise of Chinese ink-wash painting. The earliest colored rock painting was found on the prehistoric rock paintings of New Stone Age, as well as in paintings on silk, mural of royal court, mural in the grave and grotto. In modern times it seems to have faded out of people’s memory, while in Japan rock painting has been honored as national painting and domestic mainstream after having experienced the long process of integration and innovation since its arrival.

　　藝術(shù)家于澎，是一位旅日八年，并在日本獲得藝術(shù)學(xué)(繪畫)博士學(xué)位的實(shí)力派畫家。他在日本留學(xué)期間，系統(tǒng)地學(xué)習(xí)了日本巖彩畫的新技法及新思維，將其與中國傳統(tǒng)文化精神相結(jié)合，創(chuàng)作出一系列以花鳥、風(fēng)景為主要題材的巖彩畫作品。此次展出的作品是藝術(shù)家多年來在巖彩畫藝術(shù)道路上的探索成果，其中包括在日本參加并入選日展、日春展、萬葉集日本畫大賞展、京展等的作品。

　　The artist, Yu Peng, also Associate Professor at Tongji University, has earned his Ph. D. of Arts (Painting) during his eight years in Japan. Yu’s systematical exploration in new techniques and concepts of rock painting in Japan and attempts to connect it with Chinese traditional culture heritage collectively support his creation of colored rock painting of birds, flowers and landscape series. This exhibition celebrates the artist’s fruitful exploration over years in the field of colored rock painting, including the artist’s past selections in “Japan Fine Arts Exhibition”, “Japan Spring Fine Arts Exhibition”, “Leaves Collection: Nihonga Exhibition”, and “Kyoten Exhibition” held in Japan.

　　于澎的作品融和寫意水墨和巖彩繪畫之特長，寫實(shí)中蘊(yùn)含寫意，具象中結(jié)合抽象，注重畫面的和諧完整和生命氣息的表現(xiàn)，形成了自身獨(dú)特的視覺表達(dá)語言。他以人生和自然為視點(diǎn)，作品中有對人生的沉靜的思考和感悟，也有對自然中的一花一草的抒情優(yōu)美的描寫；有筆觸細(xì)膩凝重的刻畫，也有恣意縱橫的寫意潑墨。在風(fēng)格上，有的作品酣暢淋漓，粗獷簡練，直抒胸臆，有的則含蓄內(nèi)斂，細(xì)致入微，回味無窮……但是所有的作品都共同貫穿了藝術(shù)家的一個永恒的主題――生命力的表現(xiàn)，靜默的畫面竟會使人感覺到朦朧的空氣，風(fēng)的拂動，霧的流淌，黃昏的暮靄，暗香的襲來，花草的搖曳……巖彩這一傳統(tǒng)又新穎的顏料，給藝術(shù)家提供了更大的藝術(shù)表現(xiàn)空間，使藝術(shù)家原本豐富的藝術(shù)語言得到了更充分地表達(dá)。

　　Yu Peng’s works successfully integrate the artistic strength of both freehand ink-wash painting and colored rock painting. By blending abstract tone with representation, his characteristic visual devices bring the aura of harmony, nature, and vitality to the fore. Focusing on life and nature in general, his works provide sober observation over life, as well as lyric descriptions of grass and flowers in the nature, sometimes through thick yet still delicate strokes, sometimes through free splashing figure ink. The variety of styles provides an everlasting enjoyment from a wild, clear-cut, emotional, yet controlled world of art. But his works all points to an everlasting theme, that is, representation of “l(fā)ife”. This traditional yet new art form, rock painting, has allowed the artist a greater freedom to fully use his artistic devices to render us a wonderland with half-transparent air, the flow of fog and wind, hue of sunset, the dancing grasses and flowers, and even the aromatic smell of the nature, all coming to life in these silent pictures.

　　這次展出，透過藝術(shù)家的眼向大家展示了一個美麗清新而又深邃濃郁的巖彩畫的世界。希望通過這些作品，展現(xiàn)巖彩畫的魅力，把自然的美和生命的氣息傳達(dá)并滲透到每一位觀賞者的心中。藝術(shù)家于澎還將用畢生的精力去不斷拓展巖彩畫的世界，以期探求出一條中國當(dāng)代繪畫的表現(xiàn)的新途徑，使巖彩畫這一古老而又珍貴的藝術(shù)形式在中國重新煥發(fā)出絢麗的光彩。

　　This exhibition showcases a beautiful, fresh and profound world of rock painting through the artist’s eyes. Hopefully the works can fully display the glamour of this art form and convey the nature’s beauty and life’s breathing to each viewer. As an artist YU Peng is going to spend his whole lifetime and energy on exploring the world of rock painting, aiming to search for a new road in contemporary painting and restore this ancient and valuable artistic form to glory in China.
