「所謂創(chuàng)造，其實(shí)就是我們對(duì)自己的想象和改進(jìn)。」──掬色 2008 中秋節(jié)有感
是次展覽「現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行式──牛房藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作學(xué)員作品展」，邀請(qǐng)香港藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作人劉掬色老師開(kāi)辦繪畫(huà)工作坊，與來(lái)自不同背景從事不同職業(yè)的學(xué)員在物材的性質(zhì)上開(kāi)創(chuàng)探索之路，掬色老師認(rèn)為探索是把自己放置在陌生的處境裹的一種創(chuàng)作行動(dòng)，陌生情緒含高濃度對(duì)世界的好奇，就像初生小嬰初來(lái)報(bào)到，看世界裹的事物，無(wú)一不陌生，那愿意探索的熱情是很大的。把這小組學(xué)員的學(xué)習(xí)情緒放到這個(gè)高度上，又把學(xué)習(xí)范圍收窄到只在物材研究這個(gè)接口上，對(duì)于只能容許在六堂課，不多于兩個(gè)月的時(shí)間內(nèi)完成的這個(gè)工作坊來(lái)說(shuō)，無(wú)論就其學(xué)習(xí)的力度和預(yù)期的成果來(lái)說(shuō)，都會(huì)是恰當(dāng)?shù)摹?/p>
「現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行式」是一開(kāi)放式的繪畫(huà)展覽，把展場(chǎng)上的作品變成「現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行式」，學(xué)員可以每日到場(chǎng)和自己的作品對(duì)話。是作品的繼續(xù)發(fā)展、修改或補(bǔ)充。與此同時(shí)掬色老師亦要求學(xué)員以文字述說(shuō)這一段學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)歷，也一樣是現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行式，任從作者何時(shí)加減、修正。
期望學(xué)員可以在這次工作坊中，借著藝術(shù)基礎(chǔ)的訓(xùn)練，重新認(rèn)識(shí)自己的藝術(shù)語(yǔ)言，盡情地享受著創(chuàng)作的快樂(lè)。
"Creation is actually the improvement of the self through imagination." – a thought by Gukzik, Moon Festival 2008.
"Going On - Exhibition of Creative Works by Students of Ox Warehouse Art Workshop" is the wrap-up of the painting workshop hosted by Gukzik Lao, a creative artist from Hong Kong, through which the instructor, together with students from different backgrounds and occupations, explore and experiment with materials. For Gukzik, exploration is basically to place oneself in a strange environment in order to become creative. The feeling of strangeness implies a high degree of curiosity about the environment, like a newborn bady reacting to the world, when everything is new and the impulse to explore strong. During the two-month, six-class workshop, Gukzik adapts the students' mood to this approach, limiting the study to the materials only. Both in terms of the studies intensity and expected results, it suits well this short-term workshop.
"Going On" is an open style painting exhibition through an ongoing creative process. The students can come back every day to rework their pieces, for further development, revision or improvement. At the same time, they are asked to put in writing their thoughts about the ongoing experience, which will become itself an ongoing process, allowing additions, deletions and revisions at anytime.
Through this exhibition-cum-workshop, we hope to offer the students a basic training in art, to let them develop their own artistic language and enjoy the highest degree of creation in the process.
