瑪吉畫廊(北京|馬德里)成立于2007年。隸屬于西班牙國(guó)際文化藝術(shù)基金會(huì)。瑪吉畫廊(北京)位于中國(guó)北京798藝術(shù)區(qū),面積500余平米,它擁有一支年輕、專業(yè)的策展團(tuán)隊(duì)和管理團(tuán)隊(duì),并與歐洲的多家博物館和畫廊有著緊密的合作關(guān)系,重點(diǎn)致力于拓展中國(guó)當(dāng)代藝術(shù)的國(guó)際視野,提升西方社會(huì)公眾對(duì)中國(guó)當(dāng)代藝術(shù)的認(rèn)知度,促進(jìn)中國(guó)視覺文化在全球的推廣與交流。
作為瑪吉畫廊(北京)的開幕展,"風(fēng)景的拓?fù)?展覽的作品不是以直接表達(dá)"風(fēng)景"為初始目的創(chuàng)作,但是風(fēng)景/自然環(huán)境都在這些作品的自身結(jié)構(gòu)中占據(jù)了重要的篇幅。在各自選擇的相異或相近的風(fēng)景/自然語境中,藝術(shù)家如何借助它們來表達(dá)自己的藝術(shù)觀念?"風(fēng)景的拓?fù)?試圖呈現(xiàn)部分的答案。這些作品有些是借助自然風(fēng)景作為載體的創(chuàng)作,有些是探討的是對(duì)風(fēng)景如何重新"觀看"的方法,有些則直接把作為傳統(tǒng)與文化隱喻的自然風(fēng)景作為材料來創(chuàng)作。本次展覽的所有作品背后也有其觀念的因素,它們各自不同的空間格局變化也具有可探詢風(fēng)格史、藝術(shù)史甚至思想史的內(nèi)容。但是我們不打算從社會(huì)學(xué)或批判角度來一一評(píng)價(jià)每件作品。我們期待作品自身發(fā)話,以及最后它們集體呈現(xiàn)后顯現(xiàn)的差異性。"風(fēng)景的拓?fù)?這個(gè)展覽即是一種風(fēng)景。

Magee Art Gallery (Beijing|Madrid) was founded in 2007. It belongs to the International Art & Culture Foundation (IAC) of Spain. Located in the 798 Art District of Beijing, China, Magee Art Gallery (Beijing) occupies 500 square meters. It has a young and professional curatorial and management team, and maintains close cooperative relationships with many European museums and galleries. The gallery is committed to bringing an international perspective to broaden the vision of Chinese contemporary art, increasing recognition of Chinese contemporary art among the Western public, and promoting Chinese visual culture worldwide.
As the opening exhibition of Magee Art Gallery (Beijing), the works of "Landscape Topology" are not creations with the initial intention to directly interpret "landscape". However, landscape/natural environment occupy important length of writing in the structure of these works. In the chosen different or similar landscape/natural context, how do the artists express their artistic conception? "Landscape Topology" attempts to show part of the answer. Some of these works are creations using natural landscape as media; some discuss how to re-observe the landscape; some directly use traditional and culture metaphorical natural landscape as materials for creation. Behind all the works of this exhibition lie their conceptual elements. Their different changes of space and structure possess the content to explore the style history, art history even history of thought. Nevertheless, we do not intend to evaluate every work from the angle of sociology or criticism. We expect the works to speak for themselves, and show the discrepancy in their collective appearance. "Landscape Topology" is a kind of landscape itself.
