Traditional photographic markets continue to shrink in the West while the demand for images continues to grow. How can the photographic education community address the issues associated with these changing markets? Are educators in the east and the west teaching skills that are marketable? Participants: 1. 時(shí)間:待定(9月21-23日間)地點(diǎn):土產(chǎn)倉(cāng)庫(kù)主題:攝影作品解讀對(duì)比中國(guó)和其他國(guó)家因文化背景、教育體系等方面的不同,而使攝影教育體系也各不相同,在這種背景下,影像及影像語(yǔ)言的解讀也勢(shì)必不同。那么,到底不同在哪里?如何理解這些不同?如何促進(jìn)東西方攝影教育界之間的交流?我們將選擇部分?jǐn)z影作品,請(qǐng)國(guó)內(nèi)外的部分專業(yè)教授對(duì)其進(jìn)行解讀對(duì)比,幫助教師和學(xué)生更好地理解攝影教育,并促進(jìn)各方的有效溝通。參加人員: 1. 國(guó)外院校教授: 2. 國(guó)內(nèi)院校特邀嘉賓:形式:教授分為三組,每組就兩組影像作品(一組觀念、一組紀(jì)實(shí))進(jìn)行現(xiàn)場(chǎng)解讀;在此基礎(chǔ)上,參會(huì)者進(jìn)行深入討論,探討中外影像語(yǔ)言解讀差別形成的原因。同時(shí),觀眾可以就他們感興趣的方面提出問題,教授進(jìn)行解答。

Photography Education Panel (II): Visual Language Interpretation: a comparison between the East and the West Time: to be decided Place: to be decided Subject: Photography work interpretation -- comparison and contrast The Chinese photography educational system is distinct from the western system because of the different cultural background, overall school systems, and philosophies of education; therefore, the understanding and interpretation of visual language and images tend to differ from their western counterparts. What are the differences? How can educational interaction be promoted between the west and the Chinese photography community in order to gain a better understanding? In this panel, six educators will be invited to interpret selected photographic works, in the hope of helping the teachers and students understand photographic education and enhance communication. Members of the audience are encouraged to ask questions and present their own ideas. Participants: 1. Photography professors and experts from overseas 2. Photography professors and experts from China

Note: six professors from overseas and China are to be invited and paired to review the images provided and give their comments, so as to investigate the differences in visual languages. Further discussion and audience questiong are to be encouraged.
