何翔宇的創(chuàng)作實(shí)踐可以被視作各類個(gè)體、社會(huì)和政治主題的材料測(cè)試場(chǎng)和觀念實(shí)驗(yàn)室。作為一名在中國(guó)迅速城市化時(shí)期成長(zhǎng)起來(lái)的藝術(shù)家,何翔宇嘗試由物體間的轉(zhuǎn)化體現(xiàn)或引導(dǎo)感知。他曾入圍2014年平丘克“未來(lái)世代藝術(shù)獎(jiǎng)”決賽,獲得2016年CCAA年度“最佳年輕藝術(shù)家獎(jiǎng)”以及2016年的“ARTNET新銳藝術(shù)家獎(jiǎng)”。曾參與的主要展覽及展映包括:“全球都市1.5:延展智慧”國(guó)際藝術(shù)雙年展(2018);“故事新編”電影展映項(xiàng)目(電影作品《The Swim》放映),古根海姆美術(shù)館,紐約(2017);卡蒂斯特藝術(shù)基金會(huì)“土與石,靈與歌”亞洲藝術(shù)巡回群展(2016-2018);里昂雙年展,里昂(2015);上海雙年展(2014);橫濱三年展(2014);釜山雙年展(2014)等。
He Xiangyu
Born in Liaoning Province, China, in 1986
He Xiangyu’s art practice could be seen as a proving ground or a laboratory of mate-rials and concepts, in which he investigates and engages with a variety of personal, social and political subjects. Grown up from a dramatic period of rapid urbanization in China, He’s practice is centered on representing or manipulating cognitive senses through transformation between different materials. He Xiangyu was named as a final-ist for the“Future Generation Art Prize” (2014), and won the 10th CCAA“Best Young Artist” Award (2016) and the“ARTNET Emerging Artist Prize” (2016). Recent exhibi-tions include: Cosmopolis #1.5: Enlarged Intelligence.
