羅中立，1948年生，重慶人。1982年畢業(yè)于四川美院油畫系，1983-1986年在比利時(shí)安特衛(wèi)普美院研修部進(jìn)修。作品《父親》獲“第二屆全國青年美展”一等獎(jiǎng)。曾在紐約、芝加哥、波士頓，布魯塞爾、悉尼、北京、臺(tái)灣等地舉辦個(gè)展。臺(tái)灣“山藝術(shù)文教基金會(huì)”設(shè)立了“羅中立油畫獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金”。現(xiàn)為四川美院院長，中國美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì)副主席。作品被中國美術(shù)館、上海美術(shù)館、中國臺(tái)灣山美術(shù)館、美國哈佛大學(xué)、美國俄克拉荷馬州立美術(shù)館、新加坡美術(shù)館、比利時(shí)國家歷史博物館等海內(nèi)外藝術(shù)機(jī)構(gòu)及私人廣泛收藏。
Born in Sichuan Province. Graduated in 1982 from the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts， and from 1983 to 1986 studied in Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Belgium. Now an associate professor at Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts and council member of China Artist’s Association. His oil painting“Father”won the first prize at the 2nd National Youth Art Exhibition in 1981. His solo shows were held at Harvard University， in Beijing， Taiwan， and Belgium. His works are collected by National Art Museum of China and other overseas collectors and art institutions.
