Only Two Left
Everything or Nothing

Internationally renowned and Southwest Florida-based visual artist, Michael St. Amand, will showcase his new works created in Beijing including the world premiere of his E.L.E. series.
The artist is known for his use of visceral powerful and vibrant colours as well as his subject matter – conditions that affect humanity. St. Amand’s intellectually provocative and paradoxical work encourages discourse among viewers, continuing his quest to dissect truth from fiction in a world with expanding questions and mystery. The artist leads his audience on a journey across multiple views of abstract narrative scenes, combining action painting with objective subject matter while playing with space, light, colour, and perspective.
St. Amand’s paintings ask us to look at the world in a new way and to consider not only our interdependence, but also the universal nature of our existence. We are forced to recognize the repercussions of our own apathy and then ask ourselves what are our responsibilities and how much are we willing to sacrifice. The themes that run through Michael St. Amand’s work are vast in scope and indicative of his insightful ability to see the correlations that connect them: technology disintegrating social interaction, environmental extinction, socio-economic impact, and societal obsession with youth, are just a few. In his work lies a deeply rooted spirituality that becomes evident by his willingness to explore the unknown, bringing our attention to things we would normally over-look while reminding us that within our struggle resides beauty.
Michael St. Amand has earned numerous prestigious awards for his talents. The artist has exhibited his artwork in the United States and internationally, including SCOPE/Art Basel, Florida; Debusk Galleries, Dallas; The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York City; The Washington Project for the Arts, Washington, D.C.; La Sorbonne, Paris; Musee' D' Art Moderne, Bordeaux; The Georgian National Museum, Tbilisi, Georgia; EAGL Gallery, Germany; George Frasier Gallery, New Zealand – just to name a few. His work can be found in museum, corporate, and private collections around the world. Currently, St. Amand is the Artist-in-Residence at HD Beijing School – a private bilingual school founded in 2017, blending the best of International education philosophy with Chinese culture to educate globalised Chinese.
"Michael St. Amand's paintings awaken our senses to profound truths concerning our world and our place in it."
——Robert P. Metzger, Ph.D.(Director Emeritus of the Aldridge Museum of Contemporary Art, CT and Director Emeritus of The Reading Museum, PA.)
