“第一次見到爾喬的畫時(shí)給我的震動(dòng)至今我還記憶猶新:這哪是人畫的!”畫家劉彥說(shuō);
“確實(shí)畫得好,真是畫得好,單線條的、復(fù)雜線條的畫都站得住,而且線條都敲得響……”畫家丁聰說(shuō);
“作為一位大夫,居然畫得比專業(yè)畫家還要成熟,輕松,自如。看來(lái)除了勤奮、讀書、休養(yǎng)、行萬(wàn)里路外,還真需要一種天賦!”畫家華君武說(shuō);

“The bird flies through the sky, without a trace; it rejoices, simply in its flying.”By Tagore
“Often alone, imagining something at the extremity of my thought, I have conjured a strange world of illusion in my mind, which belongs to me. I have traveled to and from my imagined world each day, without even noticing.” By Wei Erqiao
Wei Erqiao was born in Harbin in 1964, and he graduated from Jiamusi Medical University. He worked in the hospital of Harbin Industrial University for 20 years after graduation. He has lived his adult life as a professional doctor. In the years of routine, he came to love scribbling freely on scraps of prescription paper during his night shift.
He fell in love with drawing at a very young age, and he doodled on many scraps of paper whenever he had a chance. His brother, an oil painter, eventually noticed his scribblings and advised him to pursue painting.
Afterwards, these occasional scribblings impressed more of his friends of painter, and he gained courage. Then he tried new media, including water pen, marker, and finally brushes. In the process he created over ten thousand works, and became a popular painter.
The pattern of his works forms clear motifs--life, death and love. They are graceful and profound, possessing a noble simplicity and peaceful greatness, which needs the whole soul to experience and feel.
“I was totally amazed to see Erqiao’s work for the first time, and till now I clearly remember it. How could it come from a man’s work?.” -- Liu Yan
“It is really painted well, good work, simple and complicated line all standing still.” --Ding Cong
About Erqiao’s work, I will not elaborate it any more, as they are all here, for you to view. Please enjoy!
The painting is conveying an eternity, which is interwoven by sense and thoughts; The painting is expressing a peace, which is structured by time and space; The painting is delivering a solitude, which is built by hardship and sorrow; The painting is calling for a friendship, which is created by body and soul.
