? The Butterfly dream - Li Shuang solo exhibition ? is famous artist Li Shuang, who’s living in France, first solo exhibition in Beijing since 2006. This exhibition is centered on Li Shuang’s work of the last two years, and the paintings, apart from following her habitual trend, include this time a special feature - butterflies, an inspiration that came to her from reading and experiencing Zhuangzi’s ? Butterfly dream ?.

The merging of Buddha faces and Zhuangzi’s butterflies in Li Shuang’s paintings shows the artist spiritual world of purity and beauty. After experiencing life’s ups and downs, Li Shuang has eventually grasped the final aspect of true art. If it can be said that Li Shuang’s previous works brought us purity of the heart and serenity, the paintings in this exhibition distillate a lofty sense among the viewers of spiritual freedom and detachment. This is a whole new experience, it is another timeframe, another world altogether, which, in Li Shuang’s work, it merges the emotions of the pursuit of beauty and spirituality, and which, across the canvas, reaches right to our hearts.

On 27 March 2010, let’s come to Dialogue Space and follow Li Shuang, and feel the spiritual freedom and quietness that she and her works bring us in the hustle and bustle of the city.

The exhibition will last until 11th May.
