前言
從整體展示環(huán)境細(xì)到每件作品內(nèi)部的機(jī)械原理以及彼此的相互作用, 李暉的作品最好應(yīng)該被解讀成為一個(gè)關(guān)系與過程的整體。擁有五層的余德耀美術(shù)館延續(xù)性空間中的機(jī)械,空間與情感的關(guān)系融合這次藝術(shù)家展出的7件作品后顯示出了無限的活力。
李暉的作品中的方方面面都是可以與當(dāng)代生活聯(lián)系起來—我們對(duì)機(jī)械的熟知,科技的依賴,對(duì)不確定性的焦慮以及我們本身擁有的占有欲和控制欲。我們對(duì)烏托邦視角不可能性的認(rèn)知會(huì)使我們把暫時(shí)的舒適放置在慣用的格式中,而這種格式又分散為的不同的指示,選擇以及有選擇性的其他視角和想法帶來的可能性。李暉的作品包含了這樣一個(gè)能獨(dú)立完成本身獨(dú)特細(xì)節(jié)與格式完美載入并結(jié)合的網(wǎng)絡(luò)關(guān)系的細(xì)如分子的密集性強(qiáng)度。

Foreword
Li Hui’s works are best understood as a set of relations and processes, from interactions with the display environment to the mechanism within each work. The five stories of the Yuz Art Museum serve as a continuous space manifested as mechanical, spatial and emotive relations which have been activated by the seven artworks.
There are many aspects to Li Hui’s works that we can associate with contemporary living -- our familiarity with machinery, promises of technology, anxiety with uncertainty and our own desire to contain and control. Our recognition of the impossibility of utopian visions finds temporary comfort in a ritual that intersperses prescriptions and choices, and the relief brought about by the possibility of alternative visions and ideas. The works embody such molecular intensity, complete with their own networks of relationships in a peculiar manifestation of gadgetry and rites.
